Um, well yes and no. Okay, so no I did not screw up . . . that is infact the prologue to the sequel to Lux Aeterna . . . that I haven’t really written yet but I think it might happen. I see the sequel as being more of a political backroom, romance, espionage, sequel dealing with a cold war between The Angels, The Demons and maybe the daemons. With maybe a bit of teen romance on the side (i e Ariel is going to show up . . . maybe ?).
I want it to be a story told in a series of short stories. . . but that’s like on the back back back burner with only one or two conversations written . . . It starts with the prologue then we go back. then we go forward. Craziness.
So. . . Sera lied about Paris and Isobel being soulmates ?

I’m sorry you guys, but IMO Paris is a little soft. I hope he grows a pair by the end of the serial. I mean, he can't even run when he is asked to.
Well . . . he doesn't run cause he doesn't want to leave Seraphina behind. However he knows it's wrong to have these feelings so later he's all"I'm not going to rescue her". So that' why he doesn't run. Does he grow a pair by the end of this serial . . . no. Maybe in the next one ?
Also when Sera falls in the first chapter it's cause she realizes she is going to fall in love with him, so she devises a plan to stop it.

Well SH’s Ken Maxwell isn’t the only one (Yes, SH I bought Sundays up again). Originally it's revealed early on that she is Bisexual (she has like a notebook with hot male angels drawn in it, it was in the library scene) but I figured I'd leave it out, though I was very careful when responding in comments.
Sera's characters sold me on doing this because I wanted to explore a female character who was supposed to be (literally) gender neutral and treated like this by all the characters.
Obviously I dropped A LOT of this very early on. In the end I liked that she was a pretty girl who isn't treated like a pretty girl she's treated like a person. Paris doesn't feel the need to protect or save her. For example it is sort of an after thought to him that Isiah might have assaulted her... because he forgets she's female.
Well until he kisses her.
I think if I would have had more time I would have played a bit more with her dealing with gender issues. I didn't quite accomplish what I wanted.

Yes, originally she wasn't. I went back and forth on the idea and it just worked out.

Why is Isobel Asian American ?
At the last minute I wanted to write in
a" paranormal romance style love interest" who was human. I had this
whole story panned out WITHOUT Isobel. She was a last minute addition.
Isobel needed a reason to confront Paris so I gave her dead parent-motivation. I needed Paris to save a Isobel's dad during a war to justify why Paris would save her dad as a kid. The last gureilla war the U.S was involved in was Vietnam.
So that's why Isobel is Vietnamese.
Of course then I needed to give Isobel a reason to "help solve the
mystery" so I gave her dead-friend motivation.
I needed to use plot motivations to give Isobel reasons for doing what she does in the story.
What happened to the Daemons who ran off ?
I guess we will find out in the new thing. . if it happens. Actually I'm not convinced they will show up. To be honest the ONLY thing I changed about this serial was that originally Paris shoots Isaiah in the head after he witnesses the kiss. I changed it cause you all seemed to like him and I want to figure out of I can use him again.
Can Demons + Daemons = Demons ?
I guess we will find out in the new thing. I have no idea. . .probably not.

Long story short, I wrote this story because LiLe screwed up the love triangle in S&A and now I'm going to try again. I think a part of me ONLY did this because I wanted to write a love triangle and I'm going to do that in Bellum. You'll also found out why I knew the answer to the boxer or brief question, there will be alcohol, fighting, more Eric, Demon parties, Angel Parties, beaches, teen angst, humor . . . but I haven't written any of it down so . . .let's say FALL 2014 ?
